Castle Douglas sits just off the main A75 Euro route and is approximately 1 hour from the M6/M74 at Gretna Green and 1 hour from the Ferry Ports of Stranraer and Cairnryan.

 

Prestwick Airport is also a little over 1 hour and the scenery is stunning on the drive down the A713
